I have of course made fun of the bumper sticker crowd, but otherwise he made the connection. You have to remember if as a kid you want to rebel a little and be a contrarian in these coastal towns, you’ll wind up being a Republican. For instance many of his classmates like Green Day, but he proudly wears Motley Crue, and Zeppelin shirts.
