More good points. But what have we learned from this thread?
1) Jeff Bridges is not doing himselves any favors as far a big portion of Americans are concerned by hawking Korean cars as literally hundreds of thousands of Americans are losing their jobs in the US auto industry.
2) There is no way any logical person can say that US cars are not on par with cars from any foreign maker. Reliability reports show WE are now Kicking Ass. Don’t be mad, be happy!
2B) If you have an American vehicle and you think it sucks because it had “X” problem I can show you tons of owners of Toyotas, Hondas etc. who have experienced similar problems.
3)If you chose foreign you are saying “I’m ok with unfair trade practices and companies that steal American jobs and wealth”
4) If you think it’s horrible that US car makers are getting bailout loans then you need to also realize that Japanese and Korean makers have enjoyed Gov. money and Gov. sponsored unfair trade policies for decades and still do to this day.
5) The best thing for our country, our deficit, our jobs and our future is to support the highest level of US content we can.
6) Keeping profits here in this country is important.
7) The Gov. is not with “US” on this. They are not looking out for our jobs. If you wait for them to fix things you will watch your lifestyle continue to shrink as they dole out economic favors across the globe. Get busy, demand American made, and capitalism will respond, f@ck the Gov.
8) If you are looking to buy an Accord or Camry, for Christ’s sake go look at a Chevrolet Malibu.
