Maybe I’ve watched way too much DIYNetwork and HGTV but I think everything inside the house can be brought up to date and custom to the way you like it. However, things you can’t change are, lot size, taxes, MR/HOA, and location. Maybe DIY is not for everyone, but if it’s for you, you can save a bundle and get it to look and feel exactly the way you want it.
