Maybe its time to re-introduce commercial Hemp cultivation.
It grows like a weed, and has myriad uses other than making ethanol.
Obviously, many people equate Hemp with Marijuana – but they’re different species – Hemp has only a fraction of the THC content of Marijuana (THC being the ‘active’ ingredient in MJ).
Also, with the increasing outcry over the wanton use of plastics (now bobbing in the sea by a beach near you), hemp also produces everything from fibre to wax. Its a truly amazing plant, and sadly vilified in this age of “Drugs Are Bad, M’Kay”?
