Thanks for the additional details. Of course, I can’t say for certain, but it does sounds like this guy is indeed being stingy (which I consider a flaw).
I make under 100k a year and still manage to treat my dates to some pretty fancy nites on the town and such. It’s really not that expensive, especially if you are clever about it.
Of course, as others have said, it may just be that the guy has been taken for a ride one too many times.
To those that suggest women are all about money…
Horse apples. Granted, nobody wants to date a deadbeat, but in terms of getting the interest of a woman money is pretty far down on the list. Unless the woman is a golddigger of course, but who the hell would want to date one of those?
I find it particularly amusing that our ancestors evolutionary history is brought up, as money is a relatively recent invention.
Studies have been done on this and the top initial triggers for attraction to women are height, intelligence and sense of humour. Stuff like money, muscles, looks, bling, etc. are all just icing on the cake.
