Man I would love to continue some thoughts on this.
I currently have ATT-Uverse 450 for all the regular and all channels such as HBO/Showtime/Skinemax/TMC etc. There are some things I don’t purchase but this is the base full package.

Cost–Roughly $238 or so a month? I pay an extra $28.00 to have extra devices in the garage, bedroom and each kids’ room ($7.00 per). No channel 4 but I don’t follow the Padres or the NL for that matter, so I don’t miss it.
Convenience Factor:
– ATT Central Unit is also a wireless router so I’ve never once had to deal with router issues
– Kids can watch all their DVR stuff from their own TVs. So they get the ATT box in their room and with whole house DVR, I can kick them out if they are watching something they recorded.
So I have a lot of convenience but pay dearly for it. There has to be way to cut into this. Since I am such an internet junkie I almost never watch movies, just too fidgety. Can’t put the laptop away..
– I also have a moded X-Box (old school) that I use to stream content if I have burned a DVD or downloaded some AVI/MPG/MP4 file.
– I am a huge Dexter fan, and many shows on Showtime/HBO for that matter. Anyway to stream things like that? Itunes?
– How do you deal with other TV setups? Can they use the same HD antennas?
– Honestly with the crud the kids watch, I feel like for a few more years I am stuck with some form of cable.
