I don't really you have much to worry about besides skin colors. Most of the kids end up growing up to be the same needy/whinny/materialistic kid as every other kid (just kidding) and much are just as american as anyone else. And most of these kids end up adapting to the prevailing culture here anyway. (You do realize that over the past couple of years, the san diego spelling bee winners have been pretty much kids from indian and asian families?)
Plus I doubt you have to worry about J6p next door having a middle-of-the-night beer bash-fix the old heap car party with "bubba and company" now, do you? You just have to put up with occasional older generation inlaw that typically lives in with the kids that plays that god awful shrieking opera "music" at full volume who also might hang out that laundry on the balcony instead of using a dryer. But, the good news, is that usually if you go talk to them about this, they family would probably oblige and turn it down and remove the eyesore.
