Exactly! Maybe I wasn’t clear, I love the sound of falling rain. Since tile roofs mute it, at least I can recapture some of that soothing sound by listening to water falling in downspouts.
Back to gutters: the area of biggest problems are the roof valleys. Look on the ground under valleys on homes with no gutters. You’ll see either (a) damage to the soil/grass in that area, or (b) severely damaged concrete.
