JP, that’s kind of what I was saying too. Meg Whitman’s been going around campaigning against the ‘illegal’ problem at the same time she’s employing illegals. That’s the rub. She’s a hypocrite.
And as for her story, JP makes another good point. If she cared about the issue, she would have ‘found out’. More likely, she made a point of ‘not knowing’, as is the custom in the boardroom. Looking the other way speaks volumes about what she’d do as governor. Meg is a sleaze.
Personally, I don’t care about illegal immigration. There are costs associated with illegal immigration, healthcare, education and other public services for example. There are also economic benefits, cheap labor pool for agriculture, tourism and construction, lower consumer prices. The ‘Drug War’ is a different issue and Americans deserve some of the blame for ‘using’ so much ‘product’.
Again, I just think we have bigger problems, economy, public finance, energy, water, etc. But I agree, this sideshow shines a light on Meg’s character.
