Indeed, G35 is rear-drive thus different platform as Altima. I made the wrong connection on that one.
However TL and Accord is based on the same platform. The same Accord platform also spun RL, MDX, Pilot and Odyssey. TSX is Accord in Europe and Japan it was deemed too small for the US market thus became TSX. I suspect TSX is based on the Civic platform, as the dimensions are similar and interior spaciousness, when I test-drove it, is downright identical (Civic owner for 6+ years).
In my case, I actually want the older Acuras, as I can’t stand the stupid grin-face of the new TL/RL/TSX. I’m a big Honda/Acura supporter but if this is to be the future direction of all Acura, then I’ll have to look elsewhere.
