In addition to a different class of license for SUV drivers, I’d also like to see a fuel surcharge for SUVs — maybe something like an extra $2/gallon. Since these greedy SOBs are consuming all the resources (while destroying the environment at the same time), make them pay for it.
Maybe if we get a good old-fashioned liberal in office, with good old-fashioned liberal values, we’ll start to see some reasonable taxes and surcharges on SUV owners.
