I’m going to break my usual silence on the political threads just this once. I heard 2 things today that support the “brilliant pick” theory. First, Sarah Palin’s hairstyle is becoming popular, as are her eyeglass frames. Second, people are talking about boycotting Oprah! Just because she refused to have her on her show. To become this much of an American culture icon in such a short time is absolutely mind-boggling to me. The democrats have an enormous task ahead of them to derail this train by the election. There is no question the Palin pick energized the McCain candidacy in a way no-one could have anticipated.
In political terms that is nothing short of brilliance.
