I’m all for kids being kids. Including BB/pellet guns, paintball, real guns. But I’m against airsoft guns.
They get very comfortable shooting at their friends with a toy gun and I’m concerned that someday when they handle a real gun they may forget and actually kill someone.
Some argue that it is no different than paintball. Not so. The guns are heavier, you usually play in structured venues, and it hurts when you get hit so kids tend to be a bit more respectful of the weapon.
