I’ll tell you what I thought since I spent a fair amount of time in Temecula at the same place as Allan. Jealousy. We have this nice area of land set aside for a big sports park along I-5 in Cardiff. The DINKs and NIMBYs want a big dog park and less sports fields so it’s a big battle right now. I think a nice Field of Dreams park in Coastal NC would be awesome.
Baseball fields as far as the eye could see. Around here it’s a royal pain in the ass to find of place to throw your kid a bucket of balls.
Not jealous enough to move out there though. My god it was hot. We arrived at 1:45 for a supposed 3:00 game. We didn’t end starting until 4:00. Most of the kids were hiding under the bleachers out of the sun. The oppressive heat helped a couple of tweeners make weight.
