I’d avoid Wilson Creek. Last time we were there the tasting price was outrageous, the wines were poor and the tasting room was like a PB frat party.
I have a wine club membership at Leonesse Cellars. They are on the backside off the main winery road so they don’t get as much traffic. I think they are one of the hidden gems up there.
We’re also fans of South Coast.
Thornton has had some good wines in the past but I don’t like how they do tasting (too restauranty).
Stuart Cellars has made some really good wines as well (I used to have a wine club membership there).
There are several others that are pretty new that I haven’t had a chance to get to yet.
