How very Phil Gramm of you. I find it so ironic that you fancy yourself a Democrat. You love to slap labels on people. You love to stereotype and make assumptions based on a sliver of knowledge or facts. You care little for the threat to democracy that we are now seeing from a party that is supposed to jealously guard its survival. You are an enemy of the first amendment, as you have absolutely no respect for the opinions of others.
But yet, you hate McCain because he will continue the “misery”. Marion, you ARE the misery.
Most disturbingly, you expect me and others on this board to suck it up and be satisfied with Obama SIMPLY because he is not McCain. Well, here’s a newsflash: thinking people don’t play that game. Only brain dead dolts adopt your philosophy. But I should hardly be surprised: everything about you — your intolerance, your apathy towards the glaring problems that plague our political system — make it clear that you have no respect for democracy or its survival. You’re far more interested in analyzing the level of someone’s sexual satisfaction — or perhaps getting a good leg wax.

I don’t care if you take my posts seriously. That would be akin to me caring if a gnat shares my views on global warming. It just doesn’t register. Get it?
In your own strange little world you seem to believe that I support McCain. Let me as clear as I can: both candidates are crooks of the highest order.
Unless and until Americans refuse to accept the mediocrity that is presented to them and actively support a third party, we will soon find ourselves slaves. Short of that, a revolution is in order. This doesn’t necessarily require violence.
The first step is to simply not vote for these crooks.
Of course people like you scoff at a third party because it’s not “viable”. You will say that we don’t have the power to elect a third party. But at the very least we have the power NOT to vote for the candidates who have been forced upon us. If enough Americans were persuaded to think, “I will ONLY go to the polls to support the candidate that I am PASSIONATE about”, neither one of these losers would win. It’s not an inconceivable task. It doesn’t even take huge sums of money to get a grass roots movement going. The idea would be: “Don’t waste your time voting if you don’t TRULY believe in the candidate. Just stay home.” Make no mistake: there are HUGE numbers of Dems and Republicans who are only voting for their candidates by default. If people ditched that obligation to vote “just because”, a third party candidate would instantly become viable.
And that is what the Establishment fears most. if ho-hum voters simply went on strike on election Day, the PTB would freak out. But of course, we could never count on you to do that, Marion. Because your head is so far up the Establishment’s rear end you’ve long ago surrendered the ability to think for yourself.
So there: I’ve posted what I would do about the problem. You, on the other hand, prefer to compare me to a cat thrown against a wall and refuse all comment to the issues raised.
But I suspect you haven’t commented on the issues because in your mind, Obama can do or say anything and it would be just fine with you. He could suspend your right to exit the country, and you would find a way to justify that. And that’s what is *particularly* scary about you (in addition to your strange and disturbing tendency to inject sex into almost every discussion). You are a drone of the highest degree. You are a prime example of how and why this country was so easily highjacked by the thugs who now run it. Because you have no expectations of your leaders. Because you demand so little of them. Because you don’t value democracy. Because you simply don’t CARE.

I’m curious, Marion. In your extensive knowledge of U.S. political history, can you think of even one presidential candidate who has supported violations of our Constitution while campaigning — and then turned into a vigorous defender of those rights once in office? Here’s the answer: none. Because until recently, our Consitution was INTACT. Civil liberties are not to be toyed with lightly, and FISA is no joke. And any candidate who is serious enough to threaten our rights while trying to GET our votes will not hesitate to trample them once in office when he doesn’t need our votes. You are fooling yourself if you believe McBama is simply adopting a political ploy to get elected. What is happening is much more sinister and dangerous.
One day, you’ll actually figure that out. Of course, it will be far too late, and you will be roadkill. But I’m sure even dead squirrels may have an epiphany before meeting their Maker.
