If you are looking to buy new construction late Sept and Oct tend to be the best months. The execs and salespeople have bonuses to earn and they arent above fire selling inventory to meet their goals. I have seen this happen a few times and it usually happens around now. By the end of October the best deals/lots are gone. By Mid/Late November its getting too late to close by the year end and they tend not to care anymore. They know they can sell them for more in Spring than right now anyway. You can wait but you probably wont get a better house or a better deal than in the next 30 to 45 days.
