I think the nutjobs have realized the power of the internet, only a decade late. First they took over radio, then they took over TV, now they’re going after the internet. The internet by definition is the grassroots, and they are scared of it. They know from experience that they can shout down anything if they work hard enough and spew enough noise. It makes it harder to find the informative stuff if you have to sift through all the crap. They know that if they fling enough shit, some of it will stick. Hopefully the law of diminishing returns will save us.
