I think that you will do fine if you don’t expect any significant appreciation and plan to keep the home for at least 10 years. Space in San Diego is limited and there will always be demand for homes this size. However, I would recommend looking for existing homes also as great deals can be found. Another area that is attractive for families is Scripps Ranch.
