i read swanns way in a paperback from barnes and noble in the old moncrieff version, but picked up the lydia davis new translation from the library part way through just to see how it was and read some from there.
for book 2 on, i decided on the moncrieff/enright, and bought the folio society gorgeous version, which is that later moncrieff/enright revision …. i also got PAINTINGS FROM PROUST, a little art guidebook from eric karpels, so i could see photos of the paintings described! I like it!!! I think moncrieff enright is good. not sure i liked lydia davis. id need to go back and check….
