I rarely go to Vons or Albertsons, which are the closest markets to me, anymore. I go to Windmill Farms, Costco and a small commercial farmer’s market for 90% of the stuff that I need. I really only go to the big grocery stores for things like small quantities of canned goods that the others don’t carry.
None of the places I go are union.
One thing I learned during the last grocery strike: the produce prices, along with most of the other prices, at the big supermarkets are outrageous. The only time they are reasonable is when they are on one of their club deals and produce rarely is.
