I once enthusiastically went for a speech by James Irwin who was an Apollo 15 moon walker. I was hoping to listen to some first hand experience. Instead, he preached (a rather weak) evangelizing sermon on how he found God (and Jesus) while standing on the moon and seeing the earth (big blue ball etc.,).
