I know a realtor who quit his job and is trying to be a cop. But I do know a retired cop who was dabbling as a realtor, though even during the peak, was not successful. I imagine if there were any government employees who were playing realtors during the bubble, that they have given that up by now. During the bubble we heard about all the increasing number of people becoming realtors and now we are seeing the reverse.
I know a few government employees and they don’t have second jobs. Their first job keeps them plenty busy and they barely have a life as it is.
