I just moved from a home in a neighborhood with almost exclusively older owners with grown kids to a neighborhood 1/4 mile away with smaller homes and younger owners/kids. (Both are in Carmel Valley.) We made the move primarily for the neighbors/community. It is already making a huge difference–our kids are outside playing with their new friends instead of holed up inside in front of the video/computer/TV screen. We are so happy we made the move. So my 2 cents is: don’t discount the importance of the type of neighbors that you have.
