I found the place I’m currently living in less than an hour at http://www.westsiderentals.com. They charge a small fee of $60 for 2 months membership, but I found it well worth it. Much better than scouring local newspapers and ads. Also, craigslist has quite a few rentals. Good luck, and welcome to LA! Hope you like sitting in traffic. (much worse than San Diego)
