I feel bad for getting OT on this thread but I can’t help it. BMW’s “ultimate driving machine” is one of the best marketing slogan of all time in the automotive industry. Sure, BMW designs its car with handling as one of the top priority. But they’re not the only one. To some, “ultimate driving machine” is how smooth and supple the ride is. Which in that case, BMW is not at the top, Benz & Lexus is. To some, “ultimate driving machine” is price performance, which Infiniti takes the crown. BMW is the “ultimate driving machine” when you’re talking about balance in power, handling, and ride quality. But you sacrifice the price for that level of balance. Also, I hardly call the 328i or any low powered BMW an “ultimate driving machine” even though they priced it like it is.
