I don’t have solar … but when I do find the home of my dreams it’ll be one of the first major upgrades I do.
From what I’ve read, it doesn’t make economic sense to cover your entire electric bill through solar. Since your electric rates go up as you use more electricity … it follows that your rates will go down as you use less. I think it’s most cost-efficient to generate about 1/2 of what you use.
Look for a place with good southern exposure. I am 🙂
