I’ve looked (seriously, as in hundreds of hours in some years, and hiring attorneys and real estate agents…) for a home for a long time without buying yet. I took a break for the first half of the 1980’s, and a few breaks of a year or two elsewhere, but I’ve been (renting and) looking for a home to buy more or less continuously since 1975.
I’ve researched homes in most counties in the states I’ve lived in, and in most states in the US, and most countries in Europe (west and east), Australia, New Zealand, and China and Singapore and Indonesia….
None of my family or friends believes I will ever buy. Only I do.
