I agree with all that, but how many people do you think will actually take the time/effort to grow their own pot if they could just walk down to the store and buy a couple joints? Remember, stoners are lazy. Plus, you could buy some Cheetohs at the same store — most likely in the same aisle. I don’t know anyone who can grow their own Cheetohs.
