I don’t think it is as clear as that. The republicans have a habit of putting some very negative ads out just weeks before the election and swaying people at the last minute. I have no doubt that is planned again.
What I can’t quite figure out is why so many people, given months to learn about the candidates, can be swayed at the last minute like that.
