Gig economy not as bad as bartenders, restaurant workers, attendants working in the gaming industry. Those jobs aren’t coming back. Newsom’s moratorium on evictions utility shutoff perhaps is necessary in an emergency, but ultimately the decision is left up to the county. And that doesn’t mean late payment still can’t damage credit or go to collections. It’s just a temporary stopgap measure in an unusual circumstance in unprecedented events.
