Gas piping is figure on BTU’s available using “developed length” for the diameter of
pipe(s) in the run. For such short distance as you mention it likely in not going to be problem if the pipe in the garage is at least 3/4″ and is also near the regulator which is usually is right at the meter.
Possibly the meter is farther away, but gas comes to the house on a larger line(to protect available btu’s and then steps down to a smaller pipe, either way you would still be fine. If the doubt raised bothers you, have a plumber calc it out, or otherwise remove the doubt, and give you a bid while they are at it.
