I do not have any problem with a regressive tax policy. As a libertarian my views are that govt should be smaller and as simple as possible. A regressive tax policy does not seem unfair to me. Some people feel that the more you make the more you should pay. So if I have 3 jobs and work 3 times as hard to make more money I should be penalized more and pay more taxes… Hmmm… like I said, to me THAT seems unfair.
Your greivances to me sound like they have more to do with the tax code and the loopholes then anything else. Yes a straight flat tax on any and all income sounds okay to me whether it is capital gains or income. As long as EVERYONE pays it, I see no problem with it.
