This particular yield is offered from a certain type of checking account offered by a credit union in wisconsin. They are hoping to hold the rate at least until june but cannot make any gaurantees. Still though, it blows away CD rates. Conditions are as follows:
The rate is offered for balances under 25k.
You need to set up free bill pay and use it at least 1 time per month.
You need to set up direct deposit.
You need to set up an estatement as opposed to snail mail.
They will assign an debit card to you that you need to use to make purchases of items 15 times a month.
These accounts are available to residents out of state. They even are avialable to small businesses provided your structure is an llc or a propreitorship.
