Nah, Trump isn’t going to invade Iran. He can beat them on the cheap by using EMP weapons and letting people starve since there won’t be any transportation or electricity. Then he could get his rich friends to go in and take all the oil for the US (oh wait, I mean for themselves).
As to US becoming isolationist. I certainly think there would be a lot more large regional conflicts as other countries would welcome the power vacuum. But eventually, the US will get dragged back into a world war.
