San Diego is building both out and up. For the up part, think Civita in Mission Valley, Stone Creek in Mira Mesa,and One Paseo in Carmel Valley. I’m sure others will come. Once we fully built out the “out” part, I can totally see other smaller cities w/in San Diego County would start to build up and have a more robust downtowns. I’m thinking a long the line of Gaslamp type of mix use developments in Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Poway, etc. But I think that day is a long time from now.
