It pretty much proves the point that immigration is about vote buying. Any rational person would require any immigrants to have skills and/or fit a profile of need before allowing them to come here.
It’s always kind of funny to see the people arguing for a living wage also arguing for immigration reform (usually some form of amnesty). What do you think is going to happen when you increase the supply of low skilled labor in excess of the amount of jobs available for low skilled labor. Obviously the supply demand imbalance forces wages down. Then of course you try to fix that imbalance with minimum wage proposals but that doesn’t change the fact that there are too many low skilled workers in this country already.
Hey I don’t blame the illegal immigrants they’re just trying to do what’s best for them, but I have no problem with doing what’s best for us and that is deporting them.
