My dad got me into investing when I turn 18 by offering me a 1 to 1 match and I took him up on it. If you teach your kid about the advantages of owning rentals and help them buy it (maybe a 2 to 1 match?) then they can start much earlier. I also feel that it takes a few generations to build true wealth.
