I disagree. I have used them since I was old enough to put one in my hand. Sears tools NEVER broke (and I have seen dad use a four foot breaker bar and hop up and down on a socket wrench) and on the off chance you did break one it was no questions asked. Along the way they figure out that they could sacarfice some of that quality for cheaper goods and the price difference would more than offset the cost of replacement.
But it is still nice to have that “no questions asked” gaurntee and that is why people still get there tools there.
