FLU: A buddy of mine is a hardware engineer for Intel on their Sta. Clara campus and he knows a couple of former colleagues that are now at Google. He said they indicated that even Google isn’t immune and that they’re shuttering unproductive internal initiatives and have been warned that if advertising revenues continue to fall, more cuts could be coming.
He said the prevailing attitude in the Valley was that Google was riding above all the problems hitting Yahoo and Intel and AMD. Not so much.
