Flight noise in MM is no different than SV. If your budget is around 4$00k to $500k, you can buy a nice newer home (1992 or newer) in NW Mira Mesa. Do you have school age children? If yes, you might want to consider PQ which is about $50-$75k more expensive than MM but has excellent Poway schools. MM has above average schools. If you have no school age children and you work near SV or La Jolla, NW MM is ideal for budget under $500k. From NW MM, it is about a 5-7 min drive to SV. Usually there is no traffic even at peak time. Below are some threads discussing properties in NW MM. I just bought in NW MM so I know quite a bit about the area after three years of research.
