Equalizer: David Brooks of the NYT wrote a good article discussing what he considers the true influence of Rush, Beck, etc on the American people.
On balance, I agreed with most of the article. Unfortunately, I don’t think they’re quite as “out of the mainstream” as Brooks alleges, but I believe that’s largely due to Brooks’ thinly masked disdain for their shrillness and (perceived) vulgarity.
