I could be wrong – but I remember fairly high unemployment in the late 70’s and early 80’s. I wasn’t in the job market in the 70’s (I was in high school), but I remember friends having parents lose their jobs. The early 80’s (82ish) were terrible for kids getting out of college. Over 10% unemployment.
