Cant run the ball… cant stop the run… cannot score in the red zone…. To many penalties and the last 2 calls of the game were beyond my comprehension.
Miami: Well at least we beat a team that had no QB. Still horrible play calling in the Red Zone. Defense got lucky on a few plays, real lucky. I liked the the bombs to Floyd and Jackson. Our receivers are now making plays. Rivers needs to work on his end zone fade pass. I will take the V, a win next week would be huge.
While I’m not a Chargers fan, I’m rapidly becoming a Rivers fan. He plays nasty, competitive football and his ability to throw the long ball with damn near pinpoint accuracy is amazing.
That one new wideout (I forget his name) is starting to come into his own, which is giving SD a legitimate deep threat.
Now, if Norv’s play calling would improve (although, that halfback option with Sproles was nifty), they could go back to the old Coryell/Fouts days where they didn’t need defense to win.
Someone might want to write A.J. Smith a letter and suggest acquiring some O/D linemen. Just a thought.
