I think some want to revel in tigers “conquests” on some sort of macho ego trip, but face it, “Tiger the plumber” could also get female like these as often as he could afford, if he was prone to going to hookers.[/quote]
Actually, I’m betting that Tiger the Plumber could find just as hot a wife as he has now (although I only consider her to be modestly hot, as I’m not into the Nordic look – but I digress). I’ve seen plenty of very normal guys – even guys who don’t make a ton of dough – with very hot partners. It’s not that unusual. However, clearly being Tiger the Golfer made things easier in that respect.
Now, I’m going to editorialize on what I think these two SHOULD be doing in order to maximize their contentment based on their actions thus far.
Tiger should divorce Elin and pay her a huge amount of money. Now. Why? It’s an important part of his life. He’s only going to give it up under duress, which he’s facing currently. So, now he’s going to pay his wife a shitpile of money to “stay” with him while he denies himself the things he wants, just so that he can make a few million more dollars from his sponsors? Given his level of wealth, that’s completely idiotic. He should pay her off, become a swinging bachelor (which is what he truly wants), and just accept losing some sponsors. He’s still going to have shitpile of money and be able to do whatever the hell he wants. His wife will be happier and he can share custody of the kids and everybody lives happily ever after.
Elin should take the money and run. She’s still young and attractive and will have no problem finding another dude, if that’s what she wants. Clearly, she wants no part of the newly-revealed Tiger Woods, or else she wouldn’t be demanding all this up-front money along with a new pre-nup. There’s a word for women who stay with men in exchange for money – and I have no problem with prostitution, per se. It’s a perfectly respectable profession. But does this woman really want to go down that road? Because that’s exactly what she’s doing. By choice. She could get a huge settlement and be done with it all and move on, but she’s choosing to remain for a few dollars more. In my view, that’s a bad decision. But, hey, to each his/her own.

I don’t think you have done many unbiased, Amateur Anthropologist case studies of people who face the types of crisis the Wood’s family is in… Possible “bimbo fetish” vs. family life dilemma. If you did, you might not have said what you did about Tiger in such an obvious knee jerk fashion. These situations and men take all sort of paths regardless of the level of premarital and extracurricular activities. I think in this case divorce seems correct. In Tigers future it is as likely that he will take,or eventually take, some kind of position on trying to do better with Elin or the next time he gets in a “permanent relationship”.Maybe he will be a sad and remorseful alcoholic with a bimbo fetish. Maybe the swinging life suits him to a tee and he will maike an business empire out of his fetish, like Heffner. Only Tiger knows, if anyone does. I don’t think he has ever been sure like you are about swinging or himself. I mean, you don’t seem susceptible to getting married and sprouting a few rug rats while in the midst of the bliss of the same life you claim that Tiger loves.
