I’m amazed at the caliber of the people we are getting in our interviews. We started having them complete a coding test (that should take about 20 minutes) and the quality is about what I used to see as a TA for first quarter java students.
I’d say we are rejecting about 9 of 10 people we talk to outright via the phone screen or coding test.
