That’s my current reality. This isn’t what I had planned for but, it is working. They need the help and we can’t afford a decent house. So, we get to save and they get to live in “their” house. An additional benefit (sometimes a negative) being that my son gets to spend time with his grandparents.
I also see this becoming the reality for an ever increasing number of the population. Combine the rediculous cost of housing and just about everything else with piss poor planning by the previous generation…bang.
I’m seeing it with more and more of age group. I actually know a few people that are supplementing their parents income every month.

Yep from what I have been seeing, your situation is very common, That’s partly why I say that when/If the economy ever does start to add Jobs in a big way I think we will see a snowball effect.
