To “all”.. what length drive do you think from the house you linked to?
To ‘njtosd’… It seems you read my mind as I was also considering that situation strongly. I know the high schools Canyon Crest and Torrey Pines have consistently performed well and on par with what we are used to in the Northeast. What length drive do you think I’m looking at from the areas you mentioned : Del Mar and Solana… I guess it boils down to how long it will take me to get to the I-15 because I think once I’m on the 15, I can hopefully zip up pretty quickly.

Canyon Crest is a great school. My son says he wakes up in the morning and looks forward to going to school, which is from a kid who once compared kindergarten to prison. I’ve heard great things about Torrey Pines as well, although none of our kids have gone there. In terms of the drive, I would try to look at houses in this general area:
based on your earlier post. (The Valerio house is probably over priced). You would take Carmel Valley Rd. east, which turns into Bernardo Center Dr., from which you’d get on to I-15.
Depending on the time of day, you can get to I-15 in about 20 minutes that way. Sometimes less, but probably not in the morning.
