I saw a stat I think that explains this a little anyway, Just like housing, The Job market has been much more brutal at the low end, so most high earners have not been affected nearly as much.
Just a guess but if I remember it was like 12% unemployment in things like construction and like jobs,
And something like 6% unemployment for most college Educated professionals etc…
