Buying in 2002 and selling in 05/06 would have been a great financial decision, no doubt. But buying now would seem to be a horrible financial decision. There are those who will buy, no doubt, but there were buyers of the homebuilder stocks all the way down as well as the mortgage brokers and the bond insurers. Falling knives are often caught by savvy bottom seeking sharks.
